In the morning we struggle to keep warm in the briskly blowing fog. At last, we are ready to begin our explorations. Shortly after returning to the Crest Trail via the spur trail, you can see that we are passing the boulder field visible from below at the lake.
Though there isn't much difficulty here, and the distance is barely a mile, we are still able to almost impress ourselves looking back at the elevation we gained.
