Scatter Creek Crossing

What a place to have a car breakdown!

Well, fortunately, that never happened. But everybody seemed to think the crossing of Scatter Creek, about 3.2 miles south of the trailhead area, was a novelty. So we stopped to take some snapshots. This seems like a clever piece of construction. Instead of building a bridge, some large concrete pads were laid down, allowing the water to flow across in one direction, and letting the cars cross the other.

Seems very practical and relatively inexpensive. But be warned, your Mini Cooper might not float so high and dry. Oh well, the seriously rough road would probably shake it to pieces before reaching this point.
