Another day, more artifacts, more mines

Before leaving the next morning, Caleb led us up a boulder field on the other side of the valley, past more mining artifacts, where he found another mine shaft. The mine tailings formed a kind of platform where Chelsea and I chill out for a few moments. This overgrown old mine was sunk into a distinct natural crack in the side of the cliff. There was a really dangerous looking deep water pit right at the door, with murky black water, and none of us were crazy enough to try to get past that.
