At the top of the "stairway" we continued up between bushes to a rather large, quite flat rocky bench behind "Mile High Peak." This can be a decent place to camp, with a view that is hard to beat, provided that it is early enough in the season that some melting snow remains down between the rocks to provide water. The peak to the left is the Bare Mountain summit — we did not see anybody looking back at us from there. In the distance are the McClain Peaks and North Fork Snoqualmie valley.
